ABOUT PM SHRI SCHOOL YOJANA
The Indian government centrally sponsors the PM SHRI School program. The goal of this initiative is to establish over 14,500 PM SHRI schools run by the Central Government, State, UT Government, and local organizations, such as KVS and NVS, where all students are treated with respect and feel valued, where a safe and engaging learning environment is provided, where a variety of learning opportunities are provided, and where all students have access to adequate physical infrastructure and learning-related resources. As envisioned by the National Education Policy 2020, it will develop students into involved, productive, and contributing citizens who will help create a society that is plural, inclusive, and egalitarian.
